Information

A classic painting was used as the inspiration for my Victorian Lady. Jean-Honore Fragonard painted "Young Girl Reading" in the 1770s. I was challenging myself with a new topic. She was painting on a box panel wood museum grade canvas. A matte black gesso was applied and the picture hand drawn and hand dotted using acrylic paint. Tooled Pointillism is a new style of pointillism created by myself. Most are done using dots so far, but in the future other tools will bring new looks.
