I draw what I'm drawn to, it's as simple as that. And more often than not, what I'm drawn to is people. Sometimes, I'll come across an image of a person that elicits such a strong response in me that I cant wait to draw it, to capture him or her in all their glorious detail. Not drawing it isn't an option. And ultimately, I hope my art will provoke similar strong responses in others, to make them feel something, to be remembered.
Marc is a self-taught, emerging Tampa artist who specializes in both portraits and figurative art. Using primarily graphite pencils, his drawings celebrate diversity and explore sexuality, with subjects representative of various ages, races, and ethnicities.
Marc's drawing style has been described as "photorealistic" and "dramatic," incorporating dynamic interplay between shadow and light. Among his influences are Jono Dry, Robert Longo, and Herb Ritts.
Marc's drawings have been featured in several online and print publications, and his art is included in private collections around the world with clients in 14 countries across five continents. His work was recently featured at a gallery in Bangkok, Thailand. "Facial Recognition" is his first solo show.
