Alejandra Gonzalez Diaz is a 29 year old self-taught, Latinx artist from Caguas, Puerto Rico. She was born in Puerto Rico, and when she was six, she migrated with her mother and brother to Tampa, FL. Alejandra loves and is heavily inspired by artists like Frida Kahlo, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Gustav Klimt, and Salvador Dali. Her preferred art method is acrylic on canvas, modeling, and papier-mâché.
Recently, she relocated from St. Petersburg, FL to Atlanta, GA seeking growth and more opportunities. She sustains herself by working full-time as a Social Media Manager and Digital Marketer. Alejandra has always been very creative and consistently looked for creative outlets to express herself in, whether that be creating, modeling, or music.
Her first creative passion was music, which she began studying at the age of 11. Alejandra then learned to play the trumpet and followed this passion through high school, where she participated in marching, concert, and jazz band.
Fast forward to young Adulthood Alejandra was no longer in any bands and was desperately looking to fill the creative void left. It wasn't until she sat in the rec room of a Rehabilitation Facility that she discovered her love for art.
That was over three years ago, and she hasn't been able to stop painting since. Her goal now is to put herself out there, grow in confidence, and fulfill her dream of making art that speaks to others emotionally while staying true to herself.
