I have always been drawn to abstract artwork, even as a young child. My work is non-objective, which means that I'm not concerned with a realistic portrayal of objects in my work. The work I make is largely influenced by
o cityscape old buildings, graffiti, and peeling paint.
o patterns text, symbols, and geometric repetition.
o nature the pinks of spring, blue greens of summer, and the reds & golds of fall landscape.
While most of my artwork is large scale, I make smaller pieces to work out compositions, color combinations, and to have fun. My work celebrates creativity, intuition, and the joy of discovery and urges viewers to embrace curiosity and imagination.
