Artist Statement

Art is the way to express the most intimate feelings of the soul.
Painting dot by dot, one at a time, in my colorful world of acrylics, takes me on a journey through feelings, emotions, memories and desires.
And when I see in the eyes of someone who looks my art, a hint of curiosity, or the strength of an emotion, it is everything to me.
Once someone, looking at one of my paintings, said to me: "This one speaks to me"... and I thought: That's it!

Biography

I am Giannina (Gianni) Amaro-Garcia. Born in Peru, I have been living in Pinellas Park, Fl. since the end of 2020.
As I was beginning a new stage in my life, I decided to start painting again, something I had left in hold for many years, and in the search of inspiration, I found the Art of Dot Painting. I fell in love with it, and in a short time it became my passion.
Using acrylics as a medium, I paint on canvas and wood . Athough I also like to experiment with other materials.
At the beginning of 2024 I became a member of Pinellas Park Art Society, participating in several exhibitions throughout the year, where I received some awards.
