Artist Statement

We are all not one of the same but we are one. Through our eyes we can speak to one another. As a artist I want to speak to my audience visually through my paintings. I want to touch on the light side of the dark side of life. Most of my paintings appear to be "dark" at first glance but if you study it you'll see positively in them.

Biography

Doing art goes back as far as I could remember. As a kid growing up I was that one kid always drawing to pass the time no matter where I was at. My first in counter with paints was when I worked as a janitor at a school and their art department was throwing away various art supplies that I took home. My first painting I ever did was for an event at the tampa art gallery 5x5 show which sold. In those times I didn't have money to spend on art supplies so I used any paints and supplies I could use. I made canvas out of wood and bed sheets.
Painting was just an escape from mental illness growing up but now has become a way to communicate to people through story telling and venting.
Even though I tell my story through my paintings, other people can express it differently just like music and I always loved it.
