Information

This is my own modern take on a famous 17th portrait of Blood Countess Elizabeth Bathory, a powerful and influential noblewoman who was believed by some to be a vampire, but was a serial killer who tortured and murdered hundreds of young girls, including her own female servants. Influenced by Edvard Munch and Francis Bacon, I had attempted to add a second face that is warped and distorted beyond recognition by sadism.
