As a gay man and artist, I'm naturally predisposed to drawing the ideal male form. From the ancient Greeks to the Renaissance, countless acclaimed artists have captured and celebrated the male physique on canvas, paper and stone. Today, it's most often photographers who capture and portray today's version of idealized male beauty.
This piece is inspired by a beautiful image of the stunning Michael Yerger, shot by talented photographer Christian Oita. I'm pleasantly surprised at how I was able to capture on paper the model's mesmerizing gaze.
